The southern winds blow,
the grass sways north,
the cold ice melts as the summer heats.
Lying in the midst of the dancing field,
is a woman of radiance and beauty-filled.
I was just there, gazing with amazement.
I approached her and asked her name,
as beautiful as she is, is her name Juliet.
While she drinks her cold lemon juice,
and the glass is sweating with dew,
her lips I noticed, so red and lo,
behold, I couldn’t help myself but kiss her in the instant.
And then, she just smiled, and I smiled back.
She is not really a stranger, she’s in fact my best friend.
I know everything about her and so did she.
It all began from a dare made not long ago,
a dare not to fall for each other, while were still friends.
It was a long time ago, long before she left the country side,
We were thirteen then, and it was just now that she came back.
Well, it wouldn’t count a loss if we are to meet as strangers , would it?
It would be just like a new encounter, but this time,
I’ll make sure we’ll no longer best friends but lovers.
And as the strong wind blew away her summer hat,
a laugh so hard is what she gave,
and said that it’s not fair for me to cheat.
