In our home, you can hear the ticking of the clock by the second,
but you can never see the motion from where it is in tuned with.
In our home, there is only one clock, lifeless as it may appear,
but It beats in seconds and moves in minutes and the hour.
In our home, there are hundreds of articles and a number of books,
they are all lifeless,
they don’t make any sound,
they don’t move by the minute and the hour.
The clock has no third hand, but it tells time.
The books remain still when unused; but the eyes look at the time with worry, and fear the voluminous pages.
In the end, the eyes just stare at them while the fingers touch-type the keyboard. “FOCUS”, the mouth lip-talked, and the eyes started veering to the right, by the computer screen. “I never learn, do I?”
Dummy at home.
